You are a junior Doctor or Medical student and aiming to become a good Doctor…Then become a good counselor…This is my message to all medical students and junior Doctors.
Unfortunately when we were student we were not aware of importance of this…rather Doctor speaking less was labeled as intelligent…but today he will be called as arrogant.
Your skill of counseling does not only help to assure patient but also to convince relatives of patient. Apart from the treatment part of patient the treatment and satisfaction of relatives are more important now a day.
If you are owner of health setup…you should be expert in bargaining of bills…here your skill is tested irrespective of your medical subject’s skill.
We have seen many Doctors are very poor as far as bargaining of bills and labeled as inhumane…माणुसकी नसलेला...
That particular Doctor may earn money but he spoils his image…so become a good counselor.
